Our Efforts: Ethical Manufacturing

One of the biggest challenges in finding a supplier is verifying that the business operates under the same ethical standards and values that we do. Unfortunately, greenwashing has become widespread, with companies exaggerating or misleading consumers about their practices to appear more socially or environmentally responsible. This issue is tricky, as greenwashing can be hard to spot. In fact, companies often use vague or misleading language, or even manipulate certifications, creating an illusion of transparency.
To avoid this, I’ve made it a top priority to ensure my manufacturer is genuinely committed to ethical practices. I’ve maintained constant communication with them, asking direct questions and ensuring that their operations align with the standards I expect. After requesting and reviewing copies of their ethics statements and certifications, I felt reassured. Additionally, they arranged a video tour of their factory, which allowed me to see their operations firsthand. The tour was incredibly insightful, and it showed me their commitment to maintaining high ethical standards. Consequently, I now have full confidence in the integrity and ethical nature of my manufacturer.
What’s even more reassuring is that my supplier has a proven track record. They’ve produced football shirts for a range of professional clubs, including the Vancouver Whitecaps, which further demonstrates their ability to meet high-quality standards.
As you can imagine, this is a critical area of interest for any brand committed to integrity and transparency. I’m sure many of you share the same concerns and are as invested in knowing where products come from and how they’re made. If anyone is keen to discuss this topic in more detail or has any questions about our manufacturing practices, feel free to contact me. I’d be happy to chat and provide further insights
