Our Recycling Policy

Starting a clothing brand, there was one thing that we did NOT want to do. Plenty of businesses churn out cheap, trendy clothes that last for the 3 months they’re ‘cool,’ and then promptly fall apart, sentenced to the depths of landfills or oceans. That’s the cycle of fast fashion. At best, a shirt might end up in a recycling plant. But if something isn’t broken or damaged, does it really need to be discarded?

Fast fashion is a scourge on this planet. Every time I think about its devastating implications, it makes me sick. We didn’t want to contribute to that cycle. So, when we started DBDesigns, we faced a clear choice: mitigate our environmental footprint or make a bunch of extra money. We chose the first option, as everyone should.

Choosing sustainability comes with a couple of guarantees for our products. First, our shirts are made to last. With proper care and attention, they should last a few years. However, we know that nothing lasts forever. When clothing is no longer needed, most people see two major options: regift it or throw it away. But we want to introduce a third option of recycling, an option that helps fight the waste crisis.
